Browsing the web

Sorus has a browser, so a web page can sit in a tab beside your notes.

Open a web page

  • Click a link in a page. It opens in a new tab in Sorus. Hold ⌘ as you click to open it in your usual browser instead.
  • Or choose New web tab in the palette, then type an address, or words to search for.

The bar above the page has Back, Forward, Reload, the address, and a button to open the page in your usual browser. Each tab keeps its page while you work in others.

Find in a page

Press ⌘F to find words on the web page. ↵ goes to the next match, ⇧↵ to the one before, and Esc closes it.

Clip a page

Clip makes a page of your own, named after the web page, with a link to it and its text: the article itself, with its headings, lists, quotes, code and links, without the menus, footers and ads around it. Select some text on the web page first to keep just that, as a quote.

Privacy

Web pages run apart from Sorus: they can't reach your notes or your computer, and they keep their own cookies and sign-ins, separate from Sorus's own.
