Workspaces
A workspace holds everything: pages, objects, types, your day log, your calendar, and the extensions you've installed. You can have several, such as one for work and one for home. Nothing is shared between them.
Your workspaces live on your computer. Sorus works fully offline.
Switch or create
Click the workspace's name at the top of the sidebar. Pick another, or type a name under New workspace name and click Create.
Give it an icon
Open the switcher and click the open workspace's letter to choose an emoji. It shows in place of the letter, here and on your other devices.
Manage
Open Workspaces from your profile menu or the palette. Pick a workspace to:
- rename it;
- sync it, if you're signed in;
- manage its people, if it's shared;
- delete it.
Delete workspace removes a workspace that lives only on this device. Sorus warns you: it's the only copy. A synced workspace offers Remove from this device instead, which keeps the copy in the cloud.
Files
Files you add to a file field, or that extensions save, are kept inside the workspace on this device. In a synced workspace they sync too: your other devices fetch each one when it's opened, and keep a copy for offline.
Profiles
A profile is a separate space on this computer: its own workspaces, its own account, keys and settings. Use one for work and one for home, or one per account. Nothing is shared between profiles.
Open your profile menu at the bottom of the sidebar. Under Profiles, pick another profile to switch to it, or click New profile… to make one. Sorus reopens in the profile you pick. Once you have more than one, the menu shows which profile you're in.
