Sync and sharing

Sorus works without an account. Sync is for when you want a workspace on more than one device, or with other people. It needs a Sorus account and a Sorus server.

If your copy of Sorus has no server set up, Settings › Sync says Sync isn't set up in this build.

Sign in

Open Settings › Sync and click Sign in. Sorus opens your browser to finish.

Sync a workspace

Workspaces start on This device only. In Settings › Sync, or in Workspaces, turn on sync for one. From then on Sorus syncs it every half minute while it's open; Sync now syncs right away.

Settings lists your workspaces On this device and In the cloud:

• Sync a workspace that's only here; Unsync to stop.
• A workspace in the cloud but not here can be opened (Open) or downloaded to keep (Pull, or Download in Workspaces).
• Close removes a workspace you opened from the cloud.

Your profile menu shows whether you're synced, syncing, or need to look at something.

Share a workspace

In Workspaces, a synced workspace you own has People. Add someone by email as an Owner, Editor or Viewer, change their role, or remove them.

What syncs

Pages, objects, types, the day log, the calendar, and installed extensions. Each device approves an extension before it runs there; see Adding extensions.

Files in file fields stay on the device they were added on, for now: the object syncs, the file itself doesn't.

Your appearance, planning settings, and extension approvals are per device.
