Your Mac's calendars

Sorus can bring in the events from Calendar on your Mac: iCloud, Google, Exchange, or any account you've added there.

Connect

  1. Open Settings › Calendar & planning.
  2. Next to Mac calendars, choose Connect, then Allow when macOS asks.
  3. Every calendar comes in at first. Untick any you'd rather leave out.

Each workspace has its own choice of calendars.

What comes in

Events from a month ago to three months ahead show on the Calendar and in Today, and planning keeps tasks clear of them. Sorus reads them again every few minutes, and when you come back to it.

They change in Calendar, not in Sorus: you can't move, rename or delete them here. A deleted or cancelled event leaves Sorus too.

Notes on an event

Choose an event, then Open. Its page shows when it is, which calendar it's from, where, who else is at it, and its link. Write below for your notes on it, or choose Start notes to begin with a link to the last meeting of the same name, a place for notes, and action items, which show in Tasks like any other. An event with notes stays in Sorus even if it leaves your calendar.

If Sorus can't see them

If you chose Don't Allow, turn Sorus on in System Settings › Privacy & Security › Calendars.
